Here i am giving the idea about the GATE cut off marks: GATE marks Depends on stream to stream, year to year. It has been noticed 55/100 for ECE and 40/100 for IN is a safe score. GATE score Generally 550+ GATE score is preferred, however a good interview can compensate a slightly lesser score Engg marks so that I make it to an IIT: some IITs might ask for 60% in BE/BTech GATE marks= depends on stream to stream, year to year.
