There are many colleges situated in India that offered admission in reputed courses on sports quota for good players of sports ..

According to my knowledge almost 70% government and 20% private national and state level entrance examination entertain sports quota

Entrance exam for sports quota are :

BHU entrance exam
Delhi university entrance exam
Jamia Millia Islamia entrance test
Anna University
A.I.P.M.T
A.I.I.M.S
J.I.P.M.E.R

State CET test etc..

I am planning to apply for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Educational Association) entrance exam. Will you tell sports quota eligibility for TNEA entrance also provide important dates to apply?

TNEA (Tamil Nadu Educational Association) is held for admission of 10+2 candidates into the engineering courses in the institutes of Tamil Nadu.

Sports quota entrance eligibility:

The candidates who have sports background can get admission based on their performance in the sport of their choice.

There are around 54 sports defined under the sports quota.

Candidates who have played the State/National/International level games can get admissions quickly under sports quota.

TNEA Policy for International Tournaments

The scheme defined for International level tournaments for TNEA 2020 is set under two categories given below.

Category 1: The games organized once in 4 years like the Olympics, World Cup / Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.

Category 2: The games which have the participation of at least six countries. The sport is recognized by Indian Olympics Association (IOA), Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), Government of India.

TNEA Policy for National Tournaments

The policy of the National level tournaments for TNEA 2020 is as follows:

The tournament is considered as National level only if it is listed in the list of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) / Indian Olympic Association / SAI / SDAT / respective official National Sports Federation.

The candidates who have just participated in the trial or coaching camps cannot claim this quota.
Any event which is not registered with IOA or MYAS will not be considered valid.

Important dates:

TNEA 2020 Notification Release 4th week to Last week of April 2020
Starting of Registration process 1st week of May 2020
Last date to fill Application Last week of May 2020
Last date of submission of filled in Application form 1st week of June 2020
Allotment of Random number 3rd week of June 2020
Rank list/Merit list release date 4th week of June 2020
Starting of Counselling process 3rd week of July 2020
