Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi awards "Central Sector Scholarship” for College and University Students to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low income families

Date to get CBSE scholarship money
The payment of scholarship will start from the month the admission is obtained.

Amount of Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships
-Students pursuing professional courses would get Rs.2000/- per month in the 4th & 5th year. The scholarship would be paid for 10 months in an academic year.
-The scholarship will be given @ Rs.1000/- per month at Graduation level for first three years of College and University courses and Rs.2000/- per month at Post graduation level.

Payment of Scholarship:
-Scholarship will be paid directly to the selected students by the Central Government through a Bank Account opened by them.
-Based on the eligibility certificate presented by the awardees, the designate bank(s) shall open account for all such merit scholars
- Bank ensures timely credit and maintains a proper database of the account numbers of the students receiving the scholarship.
