The IMU Common Entrance Test (CET) is being conducted by the Indian Maritime University; a government recognized University for admission in its undergraduate level program in the field of maritime engineering, that is, Bachelor of Science (Nautical Sciences). This is the syllabus of test: IMU entrance exam Syllabus The syllabus will cover Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) of Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2). Physics Gravitation, Electromagnetic Induction and A.C., Electrons and Photons, Radioactivity, Semiconductors, Heat Radiation, Wave Motion and Sound, Fluids, S.H.M., Rotational Motion of a Rigid Body, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Ray Optics, Wave Theory etc. Chemistry Nuclear and Radio Chemistry, Halogen Derivatives of Alkanes and organic hydroxy Compounds, Chemistry of Transition and Inner Transition Elements, Electrochemistry, Chemical Thermodynamics and Energetics, Nature of Chemical Bond II, Adsorption and Colloids, Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Chemistry etc. Mathematics Probability, boolean algebra, linear inequations, limits and continuity, vector and 3-d geometry, matrices, statics & dynamics, indefinite integrals, definite integrals & its application, differential equations, etc

As you wanted to know about the Entrance Examination IMU CET let me tell you that the IMUCET Examination is for taking admission into the Indian Maritime University (IMU) for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses of study. There will be a CET common to the 2 MBA programmes; another CET common to the 2 M.Tech programmes; and yet another CET for the LLM (Maritime Laws) programme. The Syllabus for CET for UG programmes will be Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge and Aptitude at Plus 2 level (CBSE, ISE and State Boards). Eligibility criteria: Undergraduate programmes - Eligibility:- •B.Tech (Marine Engineering) - 10+2/equivalent (PCM-60% & English-50%) •B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) - 10+2/equivalent (PCM - 60% & English -50%) •B.Sc (Ship Building & Repair) - 10+2/equivalent (PCM- 50% & English-50%) •B.Sc (Maritime Science) - 10+2/equivalent (PCM - 60%& English-50%) •B.Sc (Nautical Science) - 10+2/equivalent (PCM - 60% & English- 50% •Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science) - 10+2/equivalent (PCM - 60% & English-50%) Postgraduate programmes-Eligibility:- •MBA (Port and Shipping Management) / MBA (International Transportation and Logistics Management) - A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks from recognized universities. (45% marks in case of SC/ST) •M.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) - Graduate Engineering in Mechanical/Civil/Aeronautical /Marine/Naval Architecture or equivalent with 60% aggregate. •M.Tech (Dredging and Harbour Engineering) - Graduate Engineering in Mechanical/Civil/Aeronautical/ Marine/ Naval Architecture or equivalent with 60% aggregate. •LLM (Maritime Laws) - A bachelor’s degree in Law from any recognized University approved by UGC with minimum 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) IUM CET PG 2015 Syllabus:- For the 2 MBAs– i) Quantitative ability, ii) Data interpretation, iii) Verbal ability and iv) Logical reasoning For the 2 M.Techs- English, General Knowledge, Aptitude, Mathematics and Engineering. The questions will be of multiple choice type. Paper Pattern IMU CET 2015 Pattern:- The CETs will be Computer-based (Online) for all courses. The questions asked in the CETs will be multi-disciplinary, multiple choice or what in common parlance are called ‘Objective Type Questions.
