Hello let me tell you that the word yoga comes from Sanskrit the mother of all languages as per your great Epics the complete mean of yoga is Union of self with the universal self let me tell you the meaning of Union that means the balance of body, mind, emotions and intellect.

5th century B.C. Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar has made it possible for all to experience the real men of yoga he practiced regular Sutras of yoga and now it is been taught by their citified teachers to different centers of it and you know very well that the features of yoga is been practiced by all parts of the country and anybody can do the iyengar yoga they will teach you self designed props such as wooden gadgets, belts, ropes helps the practitioner to achieve perfection in all the postures.
