All India Institute for Medical Sciences (AIIMS), was established by an act of Parliament. For admission to its UG level program, the institute conducts an entrance test at the all India level, which is known as AIIMS Entrance Exam.

The All India Institute for Medical Sciences MBBS Entrance Exam is a single-stage Exam.

There will be 200 (objective type) questions in all. The number of questions in each part is as follows:

Subject No of questions

Physics 60

Chemistry 60

Biology (Botany & Zoology) 60

General Knowledge 20

Total 200

AIIMS Entrance Exam Eligibility
Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Orthopedic Physically Handicapped candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or whose results of Class – XII are likely to be declared are eligible to apply.
Other Eligibility Conditions:
Aspiring candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or who will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S..
The upper age limit for AIIMS examination is 25 years (30 yrs in case of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes)as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.
