Candidates applying to the first year engineering courses in Maharashtra must have appeared for the JEE Main exam as now MHT CET is replaced by IIT JEE entrance exams. Maharashtra B.Tech Admission Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should be a national of India Candidates must have passed class XII (HSC), from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (or equivalent) In class XII, candidates must have secured 50% marks in class XII (aggregate of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology subjects) However, for the Backward class, Persons with Disability and candidates of Maharashtra State the above criteria is relaxed by 10%. This means that these candidates are required to secure an aggregate of, at least, 40% marks Candidates must have appeared for the JEE Mains They must also meet the domicile requirements of the stage to be eligible. Other State students can also apply for the vacancies left after admissions of the state candidates Maharashtra B.Tech Admission Selection Procedure: On the basis of the common composite scores calculated on the basis of JEE Main and HSC or Class XII or equivalent exam normalized score in the ratio 50:50.
