University offers a two year M.Sc. Biotechnology Course fully supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.

Entrance Exams Requirements:

M.Sc. Biotechnology

Candidate with Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and fishery sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-year B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course)
Or
Medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S. with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for M.Sc. Biotechnology.

M.Sc. (Agri.) Biotechnology/ M.Vsc. (Animal) Biotechnology

Candidate with bachelor’ degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Agriculture, Horticulture, forestry, fisheries, Veterinary Sciences or Agricultural Engineering with 70% marks
Or
CGPA of atleast 3 out of 4 or 7 out of 10 in the grading system in case of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science and 55% marks in case of G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology are eligible to apply.

Certificates And Other Documents Required At The Time Of Admission:

Two copies of the Matriculation, Higher Secondary Pre-University of Indian School Certificate or Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent examination certificate, showing the age/date of birth of the candidate duly attested by the Principal of the College/School last attended or a Gazetted Officer

A character Certificate from the head of the Institution last attended

Two attested copies of the statement of marks obtained by the candidate in Senior School, Bachelor’s Degree/Master Degree Examination etc; or their equivalent examination;

Two attested copies of the Bachelor’s Degree and/Master’s Degree;

SC/ST/OBC Certificate, if belonging to SC/ST/OBC category

A medical Certificate for PH Candidates
Migration Certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution/University last attended.

Admission to M.Sc Biotechnology (General) teaching Programme of Pune University is through a centralized Combined Entrance Examination for M.Sc. /M.Sc. (Agr.) /M.Vsc. (Animal) Biotechnology/M.Tech.

Eligibility M.Sc. Biotechnology

Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and fishery sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-year B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course); OR Medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S. with minimum 55% marks.

Only those candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations or are appearing are eligible to apply.
