Can you tell me what and how many courses one can do along with CA (Chartered Accountant) course as I want to do something along with it, so please help me with it?

Some people do opt for CS/ CWA along with CA. It's like around 20 to 30% course is the same in all these 3 courses and the rest is different.

Some courses which people usually do after qualifying CA are:-
CFA
MBA
Law
CISA/ DISA
These 4 are the most popular courses which CA's who are interested in further studies usually do after completing clearing all levels in the CA Exam.

1. You may opt for courses like LLB, CRISIL Certified Analyst Program (CCAP) or in banking sector like Diploma in Banking & Financial Services.

2. You may even pick short term course like

Diploma in Accounting & Taxation
Certified Industrial Accountant Plus
Certificate Course in Accounting (TALLY)

3. Also courses such as Diploma in Treasury and Forex Management, Merchant Banking and Financial Services, Export-Import, Foreign Trade, Financial Management and Banking can be taken into consideration.

Details of few different courses:


1. Certified Public Accountants (CPA):
The blend of CA+CPA is also a good if you have interest in U.S. GAAP.
It is administered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and it is an American accounting course which is equal to CA qualification.
Scope of CPA is very good in accounting field. In India also there are various American companies which prefer a candidate with CPA qualification and knowledge of US GAAP.

2. NCFM Course:
If you are interested in security market, then NCFM course which is a very reputed short term course which provides good working knowledge in various segments of security market like derivative, merchant banking, share trading, forex etc and it is conducted by the National Stock Exchanges, Mumbai (NSE).

3. Certified Financial Planner (CFP):
It is an international certification program being conducted in the country by Financial Planning Standard Board (FPSB), India. FPSB, India is affiliated to FPSB, US.
In CFP one studies study about Risk Management, Investment Planning, Taxation and Advanced Financial Planning.

4. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA-USA):
It is conducted by the Institute of Internal Auditors – USA. With this qualification you’ll be an expert in the field of Internal Audit.

5. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA-India):
It is regulated by ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) University. It is basically a distance education Programme. This course is suitable for students who want to pursue a career in investment industry.

6. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA-USA):
It is another option which can be pursued after on along with CA.
CFA in India can be pursued from CFA Institute of USA and from ICFAI University.
