Denver County School District No. 1, is popularly known as the Denver Public Schools (DPS). It is the public school system in the City and County of Denver, Colorado, United States.

History
-The first school was a log cabin on between Market and Larimer street which was opened in the year 1859.
-The school district was established in the year1902 by a constitutional amendment
