Delhi University Journalism Admission

I have completed my schooling and I live here in Delhi with my parents. I want to pursue Journalism course for further studies. Can you tell me about getting admission at Delhi University for the course?

I would like to inform you that at Delhi University, B.A. (Hons.) Journalism course is offered which was started in the year 1989 at its Delhi College of Arts and Commerce campus. At that time, it was the first college of DU to start this course.

At present, five colleges of DU offer the same course including-

Delhi College of Arts and Commerce
Kamala Nehru College
Lady Shri Ram College for Women
Kalindi College
Maharaja Agrasen College

Admissions for journalism in DU:

Admissions are made on the basis of merit.

There is no minimum age bar for admission to under graduate course

Every year, DU releases cut off list just before admissions time period. If you have secured the minimum required percentile at higher secondary level; you can apply for admission.

You will be called for counseling session where you will be allotted college based on your ranking.

Documents needed for admission:

You need to submit certain documents at the time of admission-
A character certificate from the Head of the College or School last attended.
A certificate of date of birth
Provisional certificate of the last public examination passed.
A certificate of last exam marks
Three recent passport size photographs
In case are applying as a Foreign student, you are required to submit copy of Passport and Visa
