The Brookings Doha Center was founded in February 17, 2008.
The center was formally inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al-Thani.

Research core areas:

Middle East relations with emerging Asian nations, including on the geopolitics and economies of energy;

Educational, institutional, and political reform in the Gulf countries

Conflict and peace processes in the region;

Democratization, political reform and public policy;
