The Jakarta International School offers the IB Diploma Programme since June 1978, the programme is taught in English. The program code is 000104. The head of the school is Timothy Carr. This is the curriculum of the program:

The extended essay
Theory of knowledge
Creativity, action, service (CAS)

Group 1: studies in language and literature
Group 2: language acquisition
Group 3: individuals and societies
Group 4: experimental sciences
Group 5: mathematics and computer science
Group 6: the arts

The students must choose one subject from each of five groups, ensuring breadth of knowledge and understanding in their best language, additional language(s), the social sciences, the experimental sciences and mathematics.
