Footwear Design & Development Institute in Delhi

I want to take admission in Footwear Design & Development Institute, Delhi. Can you tell me about the Eligibility Criterion and the Admission procedure following which I can take admission there?

Footwear Design & Development Institute which is popularly known as FDDI is ranked among the best Design and Management Institutions in the world. It conducts wide range of professional programmes in the area such as Retail Management, Creative Design & CAD/CAM and Leather Goods & Accessories Design, Footwear Design & Production Management, Fashion Design, Merchandising, Marketing, etc.

It has several centers located at different parts of India among which one is located in Noida and not exactly in Delhi.

Academic departments:

School of fashion design (SFD)
School of retail management (SRM)
School of leather goods and accessories design (SLGAD)
School of business management (SBM)
School of footwear design & production management (SFDPM)

Eligibility Criterion:

UG Programmes
You must have minimum 45% in 10+2

PG Programmes
You must have minimum 45% in Graduation

You have to give All India Selection Test (AIST) that consists of Math, English, reasoning/General science, GK and Business Aptitude to complete the admission procedure.

If you have attempted -CAT/MAT/XAT/AIMA/JMET/NMAT/AMCAT/SNAP/GMAT/AIM-CAT , you are eligible and need not to appear for the written test of FDDI.

You can give the FDDI written test. It’s completely on your own wish. In such case; best of two exams i.e. CAT/MAT/XAT etc or FDDI written exam will be considered

The short listed candidates will be called for the counseling session.

Admission procedure:

Fill the Admission Form which you can collect along with the prospectus by paying amount of Rs 500/-
Last date for submission of admission form for the year 2013 was 20th May

Other important dates-
Date of Entrance exam– 14TH, 15TH AND 16TH June 2013
Result Declaration – First week of July
Date of Counseling for PG Programmes – 8th & 9th July 2013
Date of Counseling for UG Programmes - 10th, 11TH & 12th July 2013
Session begins – 1st week of August 2013

You can take the above dates for admission as tentative for the next year.
