The Energy Institute (EI) is the professional body for the energy industry, offering good performance and professionalism from each corner of the sector. EI Awards Categories The eight award categories, listed below, have their own judging criteria: Communication Community Initiative Energy Excellence Environment Innovation Individual Achievement Safety Technology Judging procedures: Firstly, the core judge for each Award category will pick the top six entries. The judge will review the submitted summary of up to 1,000 words explaining each project under five headings: Background - reasons behind the project concept Aims - what the project was designed to achieve Description and development - actions taken to carry out the project Impact and benefits - goal achieved through completion of project Reasons - why the project should be considered for the appropriate award.
