Dhaka University is the oldest University in the Bangladesh. It was established in the year of 1921 by the British Imperial Government. In the early year the University was also termed as the oxford of the east.

The institute of renewable energy is a section in the University of Dhaka.

The institute offers a program in the MS in Renewable Energy Technology which is a program of 18 months.
