The Vijayanagar Engineering College (VEC ) was established in November 1980 under the aegis of the Veersaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha . It offers Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering and Management courses.

Eligibility:

Graduate Degree Course in Engineering (B.E.)

If you want to take admission for B.E. Degree course, you should have passed either one of the following examinations with English as one of the languages and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Two Year Pre University Course examinations conducted by the Karnataka State Pre University Board.

Two year Intermediate examinations conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board

If you have completed Diploma with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are also eligible for admission to the Course.

In case of SC/ST students, the minimum percentage of marks for admission is relaxed by 10%.

Post Graduate Degree Course in Computer Application (M.C.A)

If you are seeking admission to the M.C.A. Degree Course you should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Programming / Computer Science / Computer Application as one of the subjects at the 10+2 or the Degree Level.

Passed any examination recognized by the University.

In case of SC/ST Students, the minimum percentage of marks for admission is relaxed by 5%.

Documents required for admission:

a) S.S.L.C. Marks card
b) II Year PUC Marks Card or any equivalent examinations thereto - 2 copies
c) Physical Fitness Certificate - 2 copies
d) Domicile Certificate (applicable only for students of Karnataka) - 2 copies
e) Character Certificate (from the Head of the Institution where last studied) - 2 copies
f) Transfer Certificate within the specified time, if admitted to the said course.
g) Migration certificate (applicable only for students hailing from outside Karnataka).
h) Original Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/Other backward caste students, issued by competent authorities to Government.

Application for Admission:

You can get the application form for admission to the required course along with the college prospectus by paying Rs. 300/-.
