For your kind information I would like to tell you that Eco-Schools is an international programme. Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is the founder of the programme and Eco-Schools. It provides management and certification programmes where you would get knowledge about decision-making process and activities. Programme methodology at Eco Schools: It is a seven step process that the school needs to adopt- Step 1 Establishment of the Eco-schools Committee Step 2 Environmental review Step 3 Action Plan Step 4 Monitoring and Evaluation Step 5 Curriculum Linking Step 6 Informing and involving the wider community Step 7 Eco-Code Partners and Sponsors: United Nations Environment Program The North-South Centre (of the Council of Europe). FEE Portugal HSBC Global Education Programme European Union Toyota Fund for Europe Participation and awards: In the UK, there are 3 levels of award- Bronze Silver Green Flag The Eco-Schools Green Flag is awarded to the schools who have attained high achievements in their programme and are recognized and respected eco-label for environmental education and performance.
