The Kyambogo University was established in the year 2003; this university admits approximately 11,412 students every year. It is a merger of the former Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo, the Institute of Teacher Education, Kyambogo, and the Uganda National Institute of Special Education. Following is the list of faculties under it:

Faculty of Arts and Science
Faculty of Engineering
Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation
Faculty of Vocational Studies
Faculty science
Faculty of Education
School of Management and Entrepreneurship

PG admission requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in various fields like Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor of Social Sciences, Bachelor of Science (Agriculture, Forestry, or Fisheries), Bachelor of Hotel and Institutional Catering and Bachelor of Engineering
