Chartered Institute of Marketing was established in the year 1911 with twelve sales managers
The institute got incorporated as the ISMA in the year 1921 and in the year 1928 it held its first professional exams
ISMA changed its name to Institute of Marketing and Sales Management in the year 1960 and 1968 it was changed to Institute of Marketing
After the award of Royal Charter in the year 1989 the institute started getting recognized as The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
