Art Institute of Boston was founded in the year 1912 for professions in the arts by intensive studies in the humanities. It is ranked at #177 in Fine Arts School according to U.S. News's rankings. It is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. It is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (N.A.S.A.D.), Lesley University and is also licensed by the Commission on Higher Education.
