Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS University) was established in 1965. MCA Programme was started in 2004 under Department of Mathematics - Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. The MCA Programme has been approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) in April 2007 and in Department of Computer Application.

Duration
Three year post graduate degree course is divided into six semesters

Eligibility Conditions
-You must hold Bachelor’s or Equivalent Degree (under 10+2+3 pattern) with minimum 50% marks with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
-If the Bachelor’s degree is BCA , then the requirement of Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level be waved off.

Section A - Mathematics 50%
Section B - Computers 30%
Section C- Reasoning ability 20%

Course along with Syllabus:

Section A :

Mathematics Trigonometry: Trigonometrically problems on height and distance;
Statistics : Measures of central Tendency, frequency distribution and probability concept;
Coordinate Geometry : Straight Line, Circle, Ellipse, Parabola and Hyperbola;
Analysis: Arithmetic, Geometric and Harmonic progression; Permutation and Combination; Application of Binomial Theorem; Exponential and Logarithmic series; Matrix Algebra and Determinants; Complex numbers and their properties;
Algebra : Definition and simple properties of groups and subgroups, permutation groups, cyclic groups, Costs, Lagrange's theorem on the order of subgroup of finite group,
Calculus Successive differentiation, Leibniz Theorem, Polar tangent, normal sub tangent and subnormal, derivative of an arc (Cartesian and polar). Expansion of functions by Maclaurin's and Taylor's series, Indeterminate forms.
Real Analysis: Description of the real number system as a complete ordered field. Bounded and unbounded sets of real numbers Supreme and infimum of a bounded set. Neighborhood of a point. Real sequences and their convergence; Convergence of series: comparison test, root test, ratio test Alternating series, Leibniz test.

Section B : Reasoning Ability
The questions in this paper will cover: logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning.Series, Figures. Matching and sequence completeness, Truth tables etc.

Section C: Computers
Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), input / output devices, computer memory, back-up devices.

Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, division,Multiplication
