UIUC Admission Engineering

I want to take admission in University of Illinois at Urbana school of Engineering. Please tell me the deadlines and the criteria on which the admission committee judge the applicants so that I could get an idea.

I would like to tell you that if you are seeking admission in University of Illinois at Urbana school of Engineering, the admission committee will keep certain things in mind while assessing the application they receive. The general criteria and things which they consider are given below:

Application review:
Courses taken in high school and high school GPA
Standardized test scores (ACT or SAT)
High school percentile rank (HSRP), when available
Application essays
Extracurricular activities, work, and volunteer experience
Awards and other accomplishments

Application Filing Period

Freshman Applicants

September 1, 2013 – January 2, 2014

Applications must be postmarked by January 3. We need to receive all supporting documents (application fee and test scores) by January 12.

Transfer Applicants

Spring 2014: September 1, 2013– October 15, 2013
Fall 2014: September 1, 2013 – March 1, 2014

Priority Filing Period

Freshman Applicants

September 1 – November 1, 2013

Fall Transfer Applicants

September 1, 2013 – February 1, 2014
