The George Washington University is located in the United States' capital, Washington, D.C. It is a comprehensive private, coeducational research university. Deferred Admission Policies: 1. Deferred students may not enroll at another college or university during the deferral period. GW will not grant any credit for courses taken while students are deferred. 2. Except for exceptional circumstances, deferrals will be granted for no more than 1 year. 3. Deferred students may maintain admission to the University Honors Program and to any accelerated 5-year program to which they were initially admitted. 4. Deferred students will be charged the tuition and fee rates effective at the time of enrollment in their first semester of classes. Request Dates: August 1: Deadline to submit Request for Deferred Admission from fall semester. January 1: Deadline to submit Request for Deferred Admission from spring semester. Financial Aid: February 1: Deadline for deferred freshmen for fall semester to submit financial aid forms. May 1: Deadline for deferred transfers for fall semester to submit financial aid forms. November 1: Deadline for deferred freshmen and transfers for spring semester to submit financial aid forms.
