The University of Toronto - Faculty of Law was founded in 1887 and has been ranked the number one law school in Canada by Maclean's magazine Courses: JD Program LLM Program (Master of Laws) GPLLM MSL Program (Master of Studies in Law) SJD Program (Doctor of Juridical Science) Global Professional LLM Internationally Trained Lawyers Program Graduate Program Application Deadlines LLM/MSL Deadline For September 2014 February 4, 2014 GPLLM Deadline For September 2014 May 30, 2014 SJD Deadline For either September 2014 or January 2015 February 4, 2014 Graduate Admissions Standards -You must have a Bachelor of Laws from this or another recognized university and must normally have achieved the equivalent of a University of Toronto B+ standing. - You must have second undergraduate degree or demonstrated research and writing ability for long thesis within the thesis-intensive LLM program. - For the Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) you must have a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from this or another recognized university - You should be Proficiency in the English Language - If your primary language is not English and you had completed your graduation from a non-Canadian university where the language of instruction and examination was not English then you have to appear in English-language facility test. - University accept several English language testing services are acceptable and among them most common test is the TOEFL. Minimum TOEFL score requirement is 600 with a TWE of 5 on the paper-based scale; and 100 (out of 120) on the internet based test with a 22 (out of 30) for the writing/speaking portion. - You should be aware that a graduate degree in law does not qualify one for admission to the Bar in Ontario.
