I would like to inform you that the French Alliance of Delhi (AFD) is an Indo-French cultural center specialized in teaching French language, organization and reception of cultural events. The French Alliance of Delhi was founded on 30 June 1956.The courses they offer are:

General French courses:

The Structure

3 sessions per year.

13.5 weeks per term.

Extensive classes: 4 hours of lessons a week, 2 hours twice a week (Monday/Thursday, Tuesday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday).

Intensive classes: 8 hours a week, 2 hours four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) or 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

CURRICULUM

This schedule represents the new harmonized curriculum offered by the Indian network of Alliance française Centres in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) divided into 6 levels.

At the end of each level, students can appear for the corresponding DELF or DALF exams which are exclusive features of Alliance française network.

DELF and DALF are proficiency diplomas in French based on the CEFRL. They are issued by the Ministry of Education in France and are recognized all over the world.

DELF/DALF sessions are organized 4 times a year, at the end of each term (February, May, August and November). Students are free to register for any exam if they think they are ready to sit for it.

Independently of these exams, in order to move up to the next level, an internal exam needs to be passed at the end of the term in addition to periodic class performance assessment. An attestation will be issued on request based on attendance and performance.

If learners choose to attend extensive classes, i.e. 2 hours/day, twice a week for a 40 hours/term course, they will be able to complete the basic level within less than 2 years.

Crash courses are organized during the summer term.
