After my schooling I have to look after me grandfather’s farm house and for that I need to learn basics of agriculture. Is there any course of one year duration which I can do? Here are the course details: One-Year Farming Course (Certificate of agriculture): Mode of study: Full-time (part-time option available) Course content: Crop Production and Science Livestock Production and Science Machinery and buildings Estate management General agricultural issues Farming and the environment Farm administration Skills and training- Machinery operation and maintenance Health and safety Crop health (pesticides and agronomy) Estate management Livestock husbandry and veterinary skills Eligibilty: You must be a minimum of 18 years old at the start of the course You should have at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English and Maths or equivalent. Course fee: The tuition fee for the One-Year Farming Course is £10,000 for 2013 entry. This fee is inclusive of selected professional training courses, delivered at the University's Rural Skills Centre, that form part of the course syllabus.
