What is Livello A2 as per defined by the British institute?

Livello is an Italian word used for the word level. The level A2 program is a certified course used for testing the level of English of a candidate.
According to the British council A2 is a level given to a person who can understand sentences and express himself when it comes to some areas of most relevance like shopping, general and personal information and employment. He should also be considered able to understand the things said by other people in a general way and also must be able to speak on matters requiring urgency.
