British International School New York (BIS-NY) is looking for enthusiastic and committed teacher to deliver a high quality Spanish curriculum to students in Nursery to Grade 8.

Post: Spanish teacher

Key Responsibilities:
Model excellent practice
Teach students from a range of year levels
Work closely with Department Head
Other reasonable requests made by the Headmaster

Specifications:
Native Spanish speakers preferred
Knowledge of IB and/or British National Curriculum considered an advantage
International perspective
Well organised with good time management skills
Good ICT skills and committed to its use in class teaching
Flexibility with time
Ability to differentiate varying language levels of students
Genuine passion for the subjects
Flexible and able to use own initiative
Qualified teacher
Experience of working in a private school
Excellent communication skills

Terms:
Subject to fingerprinting and background check
Lunch is provided free of charge in the school dining hall
Teachers are required to attend In-Service/Inset and Staff Meetings
Salary –commensurate with experience
The post becomes available from August 2013
