Here I am giving you information for required documents for membership..

The following items must be submitted by all firms (unless otherwise
specified) to complete the membership process:

1. Advertising: Direct mail pieces, TV copy, newspaper ads, and catalogs.

2. Website: Provide website address and print out of homepage.

3. Photos: Photographs of your firm (and branch stores if applicable) which include
adjacent businesses. Interior photos should be taken from the center of the sales
floor/office showing each of the four walls. Also include gem lab and shop area if
applicable. (at least 10 photos – all firms)
4. Appraisal: Retail firms are required to submit a sample completed appraisal.

5. Letter Describing your Business: Please write one or two paragraphs on your company
stationery describing your business policies and standards (i.e. sales and discounting
policies and the look/environment of your firm). Applicants should include the
specific reasons for wishing to join the American Gem Society; including how the
applicant plans to contribute to the American Gem Society in their capacity as a
supplier or sustaining member firm and the benefits which the applicant expects to
receive as a result of American Gem Society membership.

6. Letter of Recommendation: Retail members must submit two (2) letters of
recommendation from active American Gem Society retailers. Suppliers must
submit five (5) letters of recommendation from active American Gem Society
supplier members and three (3) letters of recommendation from active American
Gem Society retailers. Sustaining firm members must submit three (3) letters of
recommendation from active American Gem Society members.

7. Consumer Protection: Has your firm ever had a case before the Better Business
Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, Jewelers Vigilance Committee or other such
municipal, county or state consumer protection agencies
