The Sree Chaitnya College is approved by AICTE New Delhi. This college is a co Ed college. This college was established in 1956. This college is affiliated by the West Bengal State University. Sree Chaitanya College, Habra is a Goverment - sponsored, UGC recognized Co-educational College and it is affiliated to the WEST BENGAL STATE UNIVERSITY, Barasat, North 24 Parganas, got Grade 'B++' accreditation from National Accreditation Committee (NAAC) of University Grant Commission of India. Courses Offered P. G. Courses Bengali Chemistry Anthropology Math Honours Courses Bengali English Saskrit Political Science Philosophy History Physics Chemistry Mathematics Botany Zoology Anthropology Geography Economics Admission Qualifications: A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent exam can take admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Hons./Genl./Major) or B Mus (Hons. And Genl) course of studies provided one has also pass in English having full marks not being less than 100. However, no candidate, in general, shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Those desirous to do so may seek permission from the University Authority. The year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours or Major Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks of top four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
