Modular courses:
Module on Trade Technology: August & February every year.

Module on Engineering Technology: August, November, February
& May every year.

Module on Principles of Teaching: August,

& May every year.

Non-modular courses: August every year.

Fees structure:
Tuition fee:
(a) Nominees of Govt. ITI’s: No fee

(b) All others: Rs.30/-p.m.

2. Gymkhana fee: Rs.5/- p.m.

Foreign National: Rs.100/- per trainee per course

3. Hostel service charges

(Only for inmates) Rs.10/- p.m.

4. Caution Deposit Rs.50/-

5. Library Deposit Rs.20/-

Central Training Institute for Instructors was established in November, 1962 . It works under the aegis of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), DGE&T, Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Craft Instructot Training Program

Course Module:
Trade Technology-I - 3 months
Trade Technology –II - 3 months
Engineering Technology - 3 months
Training Methodology - 3 months


Trade Technology -I

This module is trade specific and covers basic components of the trade skills and theory.

Trade Technology –II

This module is also trade specific and comprises advanced components of the trade skills.


Engineering Technology:

In this module, trainees have to appear for two examination papers, viz., Engineering Drawing and Workshop calculation & Science for a pass in this module.

Training Methodology:

In this module, trainees are taught the principles of teaching, learning psychology, Workshop administration, Motivation, Use of computers and audio-visual aids in teaching, etc.
