As per your requirement here I am uploading a pdf file having information about the Fellowship for sc/st Candidate of University Grants Commission, this is the content of the attachment:


1. Introduction
This scheme has been initiated keeping in view the social background of the
candidates from the deprived section of the society and to provide them an opportunity to
undertake advanced studies and research in Science, Engineering & Technology,
Humanities and Social Sciences in Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges.

2. Objective
The objective of the scheme is to provide an opportunity to SC/ST candidates to
undertake postdoctoral research in Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Humanities
and Social Sciences at Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges.

3. Eligibility
The candidate must have a doctorate degree in the relevant subject preferably
with published research work to their credit. The upper age limit for male applicants is 50
years as on 1st July of the year of application, and 55 years in the case of female
candidates. In exceptional cases, the age may be relaxed.
4. Procedure for applying for the scheme
The candidates belonging to SC/ST category fulfilling the eligibility conditions are
required to apply against the advertisement to be published by the UGC normally in the
month of April every year in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) The selections would
be made with the help of an Expert Committee as per the procedure of the Commission
and would be completed by the end of August of the year.

The Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC/ST Candidate Scheme is initiated keeping in view the social background of the candidates for the deprived section of the society and to provide them opportunity to undertake advanced studies and research.


The objective of the award is to provide fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students belonging to SC/ST to follow higher studies leading to M.Phil and Ph.D degrees in Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology.



ELIGIBILITY:

One should belong to SC/ST and should have passed the Post Graduate examination.
The selection will be made on the basis of merit of the candidates.
One must get registered for M.Phil./Ph.D at the first available opportunity but not later than within a period of 2 years from the receipt of award letter. This period is not extendable. However, the actual payment of fellowship will be made with effect from the date of approval of fellowship or date of joining whichever is later.


TARGET GROUP

SC/ST Candidates who have passed the Post Graduate examination in concerned subject and who desire to pursue research without JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.


FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

One is eligible for following financial assistance:


Fellowship in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Engineering & Technology
RGNJRF
@Rs.16000/-p.m. for initial two years
RGNSRF
@Rs.18000/-p.m. for remaining tenure


Contingency A
Humanities & Social Sciences
@Rs.10000/-p.a. for initial two years
@Rs.20500/-p.a. for remaining tenure


Contingency B
Sciences, Engg. & Technology
@Rs.12000/-p.a. for initial two years
@Rs.25000/-p.a. for remaining tenure


Departmental Assistance
@Rs. 3000/- p.a. per student to the host institution for providing infrastructure
