Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council Inc. (MIIC) promotes and supports the protection and resettlement of refugees and offers a range of services that assists refugee newcomers in their settlement and integration into Canadian society.

MIIC strives to enable independence and full participation of these newcomers in our community.

Service Details


* assists refugees/immigrants to Canada in the resettling and integration process

* keeps a check side by side of world developments to be sensitive and watchful to the needs of refugees and other newcomers to Canada

* serves the instant and long-term needs of refugees

* provides information and advocacy services for refugee applicant whose status in Canada is "at risk";

* Educate basic Canadian living skills to refugees and refugee applicant

* provides preliminary housing for refugees and immigrants

* provides direction and counsel to refugees and immigrants

* Facilitate refugees to be support to come to Manitoba, and assists family members to be reunited with relatives overseas; provides information to church bodies respecting sponsorship;

* Greet and assists newly at home refugees with their settlement and integration needs to adapt to Canadian society
