Florida State University (FSU) established in 1851, is a pubic, coeducational college. It is one of the largest and oldest institutions of higher learning in State University System of Florida.

Application Process for Florida State University -

Application Deadline – January 14
Score Req. / Eligibility – Either SAT or ACT
Deadline for SAT/ACT score acceptance – January 14

Admission Requirements for the Psychology Major:

An overall GPA of 2.8 (based on all attempted college coursework)
a. PSY 2012 General Psychology 3 hours

b. One biology course. Choose from following:

BSC 1005 General Biology (for non-bio majors) 3 hours
BSC 2010 Biological Science I (for biology majors) 3 hours
BSC 2085 Anatomy and Physiology I 3 hours or BSC2086 Anatomy and Physiology II 3 hours
PCB 2099 Human Physiology 3 hours

Course details:

ALL of Group 1 (Research Methods): Group 1 technically is one course.
4 hours credit for Group 1

PSY 3213C: Research Methods in Psychology with Lab 4 hours [pre-req/co-req: STA 2122, can be a co-req for students who have prior statistics credit]

ONE from Group 2 (Neuroscience): Students must take one course from this group. 3-4 hours credit for Group 2, depending on student’s choice of course.

PSB 2000: Brain and Behavior 3 hours (If PSB 2000 was used for the Biology requirement for entrance into the major, it cannot also fulfill Group 2.)
