The Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree is a three-year (six-semester) full-time programme that allows you to study from a wide variety majors.

Entry requirements

To be admitted to the University, school leavers must have a University Entrance qualification based on NCEA, CIE, IB or another recognised, equivalent qualification.

Programme structure

To complete a BSc degree you need to pass courses total at least 360 points. Courses are typically worth 15 points.

The degree must include:
Minimum 5 courses (75 points) at Stage III and out of these 4 courses (60 points) must be from subject major.

Maximum 12 courses (180 points) at Stage 1 and ypically take at least 2 courses (30 points) in subject major at Stage 1.

Courses must come from a minimum of 3 science subjects (including your major).
2 courses (30 points) from the General Education schedule approved for Science.
