SC/ST Scholarships:

The Government of India provides scholarships of Rs. 1500/- per annum to all SC/ST students admitted to the programme.

State governments also provide scholarships to the students of SC/ST category. Rules about these scholarships are available at the Institute.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is a public business school located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was the second Indian Institute of Management (IIM) to be established, after IIM Calcutta. It was established in 1961.

Fees and Expenses

No tuition fee is charged for Indian students.

Selected candidates will get a monthly stipend of Rs.29,400/- per month for the first and second year, Rs. 31,800 per month after clearing the comprehensive exam and Rs. 35,300 per month after submission of the TAC approved thesis proposal.

Over and above this, a Contingency Allowance of Rs. 25,000 per year (for five years) to cover research expenses, expenses on books, photocopying etc. and reimbursement of international conference upto Rs. 1,75,000 are also available to all students.

However, the fee for overseas candidate is $ 20,500 for first year and $ 21,500 for the remaining years.

Family Income Linked Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:

All students entering the postgraduate programs (PGP and PGP-ABM) whose total family income does not exceed Rs.6 lacs in the last financial year are eligible for the fee waiver scheme.

Also a complete waiver of non-tuition fee is awarded to those students whose total family income in a financial is below or equal to Rs. 1 Lakh.

The Income Linked Tuition Fee Waiver has been granted to PGP & PGP-ABM students of the first and second year based on their total annual family income.

The Income Linked Tuition Fee Waiver for each student was determined on the basis of the following table:
