Central Civil Services is a Ministry of finance department of expenditure
These rules are called the central civil services for 2008.
These rules are announced on 1st January 2006.
These rules are not applicable for the person:
Person is in central civil services & post in group A,B,C,D under the
administrative control of the administrator of the union territory of chandigarh.
Person not in whole time employment.
Person paid out of contingencies.
Person paid otherwise than on a monthly basis including those paid only on a piece-rate basis.

In the Notification of Govt. of India, published vide G.O. 1St cited for implementation of Sixth Central Pay Commission recommendations and the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, it has been observed in Part ‘B’ Section-I

(ii) that on account of merger of pre—revised pay scales of Rs.5000—8000, Rs.5500- 9000 and Rs.6500-10500, some posts which are presently constitute feeder and' promotion grades will come to lie in an identical grade. The specific recommendations about some categories of these posts made by the pay commission are included in Section-II of Part-‘B’
