Hello sir I am doing B.com, after my graduation I want to become Excise Inspector, so for it, I want know that who conduct recruitment exam in India for Excise Inspector post? Is graduation degree enough for applying Excise Inspector post or any professional degree/ diploma needed as well?

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam notification for Combined Graduate Level Examination 2014 for filling vacancies in various posts including Excise Inspector Post.

Name of Post: Central Excise Inspector Group B
Pay Scale: Rs.4600/-

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Age should be between 18 to 27 years

Physical Requirements:

For Male:

Height - 157.5 Cms
Chest - 81 cms; expanded expanses minimum 5 cms
Walking: 1600 metres in 15 Minutes; Cycling: 8 Kms in 30 Minute

For Female:

Height - 152 Cms
Weight - 48 Kgs
Walking: 1 Km in 20 Minutes; Cycling: 3 Kms in 25 Minutes

Important Dates:

Last date for receipt of applications: 24/02/2014
For candidates residing in far areas: 03/03/2014
Exam Date (Tier I): 27/04/2014 & 04/05/2014
Exam Date (Tier II): 30/08/2014 & 31/08/2014

Application Procedure:

Candidates are required to apply online through SSC website. Application fee of Rs.100/- can be paid online through State Bank of India Challan or on-line account with SBI
Fee can also be paid offline through Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS).
