Hotel Assistant Manager is responsible to help the Hotel Manager in day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff. Assistant Managers can be assigned to the different areas of the hotel, such as food and beverages, casino, and maintenance, among others. They make necessary decisions needed in their assigned division and ensure all hotel rules and policies are implemented. Responsibilities and Duties: Assistant hotel managers perform the following tasks: Demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude about the company with coworkers, tenants, clients, and the public. Constantly strive for improvements in work processes and results to better meet client's expectations. Direct the day-to-day activities of loss prevention, risk management, safety/security, maintenance, sales, marketing, and other operations. Develop an operating income/expense and capital budgets that reflect the owner's objectives for operating the property, cash flow requirements, and leasing strategy. Maintain accurate property files and records. Coordinate with headquarters support staff on managing company. Provide prompt, detailed, and accurate general status reports on all properties assigned. Supervise and approve invoices for all goods/services required to maintain the properties up to company standards. Develop specifications and continually evaluate service needs and performance in all areas of maintenance and management. Forecast and manage replacement of major capital expense items. Manage guest relations. Have an understanding of hotel charges and guest concerns. Exhibit a constant sense of urgency in performance of every task. Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management or hospitality management Master’s degree preferred.
