The National Entrance Examination for Design (NID NEED) is conducted by the National Institute of Design. The admission into the National Institute of Design or some other institutions is done as per the score obtained by the students.

Those who are short listed after the written exam are required to appear for the studio tests and the personal interview.

The Post Graduate Diploma Program in Design (PGDPD) is of 4-years duration. It is offered to students who have taken any one of the following 3 faculty streams:

Age Qualification for NID NEED
Those who desire to apply for the National Institute of Design National Entrance Examination For Design (NID NEED) must be above 20 years of age when they apply.

Application Process
Applicants who are Indian nationals can apply for the National Institute of Design National Entrance Examination For Design (NID NEED).

Foreign nationality students need to possess a pass in the senior secondary exam. Those of Indian origin who are staying overseas need to have studied the 5 years course which must include 10+1 and 10+2 abroad.
