No. of seats:

1. 25% of seats in all courses will be filled by internal students of Jamia.

2. Reservation of seats and relaxation of qualifications for SC/ST candidates and Physically handicapped will be as per Government of India rules.

3.15% may be provided to foreign Students/NRIs.

Minimum Requirement For Admission

1. The candidate must be Graduated in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.

2. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score with not less than 60% marks or a minimum grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale may be considered for admission.

3.A candidate should be an employee in a Government or Semi-Government Organizations/ Public Sector Unit, with not less than One year Industrial or field experience.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers Master of Engineering degree (M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Manufacturing and Automation Engineering.

But Jamia Millia Islamia does not offer part time M.Tech. This organizes only regular program for this course.

Eligibility

The candidate must have completed first class Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Manufacturing and Automation Engineering from a recognized University.

The candidate having valid GATE Score will be preferred.

Admission procedure:
All the admissions will be made on the basis of merit determined by aggregate marks obtained in the Entrance Test having a weightage of 85% marks and interview weightage of 15% marks.

Attending the interview shall be compulsory for the candidates who qualify in the Entrance Test.
