Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College was established by the late Ashtavaidyan E.T. Neelakandan Mooss on 2nd October 1976 and this college is under the management of Vaidyaratnam Ayurvedic Educational Society, registered under the Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII/1955.

This college is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences and offers B.A.M.S. degree (Ayurveda acharya). B.A.M.S. course is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicines (CCIM)
