Demat account is used to held shares and securities electronically . This account opened by the investor while registering with an investment broker . Punjab National Bank (PNB) is a nationalized bank offers facility to open Demat account .

Documents required with application form to open Demat Account:

Photograph of holders
Photograph of nominee
Pan-card
Witness-two person
Details of bank account

Proof of Identity:
Passport
Voter ID Card
Driving License
PAN Card with photograph
Unique Identification Number (UID/Aadhaar Card) Identity card/document with applicant’s photo issued by Central/State Government

Proof of Address:
Passport
Voter ID card
Aadhaar Letter issued by Unique Identification Authority of India
Driving License
Bank passbook/Bank statement (Not more than 3 months old- as on date of receipt of documents)
Unique identification Number (UID/Aadhaar card)
Utility bill

Punjab National Bank was founded in 19 May 1895, it is an Indian financial services company and it is one of the Big Four banks of India, along with State Bank of India, ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda.

Firstly go to the official website of Punjab National Bank which looks like this image:

Now on this page you will see “Depository Services” option click on that option a new page will open which look like this image:

Now on this page you will get “FOR OPENING DEMAT & ONLINE TRADING NEW USER SIGNUP HERE” section…..

Now in this section, you have to fill require details……

Charges for Demat account opening
You need not pay anything for opening the account except the stamp charges.
For account maintenance, PNB charges you Rs 250 per annum and Rs 115 per annum if you are an employee of the bank.
Account maintenance charges for institutions are Rs 350 per annum.
For dematerilization, you pay Rs 2.25 per certificate including postage. The minimum charge for this is Rs 25.
For creation of pledge you will pay Rs 60 per instruction.
In case you want to modify the account, you will pay Rs 50 per request.
PNB does not charge anything for closing a pledge.
