Admission to the Ph D programmes shall be made on the basis of (a) the eligibility criteria mentioned above; (b) a written aptitude test; and (c) an interview. JRF candidates and UGC Teacher Fellows shall be given preference in admission.

Under the new admission policy, general and OBC category students do not need to fill pre-admission forms.

If you want to apply under the sports/ECA categories, they will have to fill forms in individualcolleges.

The common application form has been done away with completely

Colleges are not allowed to sell any pre-admission forms

Online registration in some colleges is an option.No student can be denied admission in case he has not registered online.

The first step in the admission process will be taken by colleges when they declare the first cut-off list on June 15.

Students will be given four days after a cut-off list is declared to take admission in a college.

Try and take admission in a college in the first cut-off list itself. A student can change his/her course or college after the second and third lists are announced.
