Sashwat I want to know that medical science and psychology subjects are the optional subjects in IAS (Indian Administrative Services)exam or not?

Yes the Medical Science and Psychology subjects are the optional subjects in IAS (Indian Administrative Services) exam.

The IAS (Indian Administrative Services)exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year.

Eligibility:


Interested aspirants must have any graduate degree from any recognized University.
Students who are in the final year are also eligible.
Candidates age should be between 21 and 30 years.

IAS Exams are conducted in 3 following phases.
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Mains
Personality test (Interview)

Preliminary Examination:
This is Objective type examination divided into two parts :
Paper I Paper II
200 marks 200 marks
120 mins 120 mins

Paper I syllabus:
General Science
Economic and Social Development
Current events of national and international importance
Indian Polity and Governance
History of India and Indian national Movement
India and World Geography
General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate chage
