As you want to get the selection mode and the examination pattern of exam of Air Traffic Controller of Airports Authority of India so here is the information of the same for you:

Mode of selection:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit secured by candidates in written test, voice test and personal interview. In addition, candidates will have to satisfy the medical fitness requirement as well.

Pattern of Written Test:
Written Test for selection of candidates to Junior Executives (ATC) position will be conducted for 100 marks divided as follows:

• 50% of questions pertaining to the engineering/Science degree of candidates

• 50% of questions on English, General Aptitude, General Intelligence and General Knowledge

In the process of selection, standard reservation is applicable of SC/ST/OBC/EXS candidates. For candidates clearing the written test, voice test will be conducted during the time of interview.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed their UG Degree in Engineering or Technology in disciplines like:

• Information Technology

• Telecommunications

• Electronics

Even candidates with Master of Science in the following subjects are eligible to apply for this position:

• Electronics

• Computer Science

• Mathematics

• Physics

Candidates must have secured not less than 60% of equivalent marks in the qualifying examination and the degree must have been obtained from a deemed university or recognized university or from an apex institution recognized by the Indian Government.

Opening Date for on-Line Registration of Applications was 14.09.2015, and last date for Completion of Step-1 of on-line registration is 06.10.2015

Last Date for depositing examination fee at State Bank of India is 09.10.2015 and last date for completion of Step-2 of on-line registration is 13.10.2015

Eligibility:
Regular full time UG Degree (3 years) in Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or full time regular Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in the disciplines of Electronics/Telecommunications/Information Technology with minimum 60% marks.

Career info

*Candidates who successfully complete civil aviation training are posted as Junior executives (ATC).

*After two years of experience Junior Executives are promoted to the rank of Assistant Manager.

ATC works

An air traffic controller is expected to:
* analyze factors such as weather report, fuel requirements and maps in order to determine air routes.
*check conditions and traffic at different altitudes in response to pilot's request for change of altitude.
*inspect, adjust, and control radio equipment and airport lights.
* review records and reports for clarity and completeness, and maintain records and reports as required under federal law.
* alert emergency services in case of emergence.
* initiate and co-ordinate and co-ordinate searches for aircraft.
