Regional engineering college was founded in 1960.
It is fully residential and co-educational.

Here I am giving you the admission procedure eligibility for Undergraduate courses of Regional engineering college.

Candidate who is looking for the admission in Regional engineering college should have to apply only in Regional Engineering College assigned for the state or Union Territory.

Candidate should be more than 23 years old. 26 years for scheduled caste /tribe candidate, foreign student, ward of India-based staff posted abroad.

Candidate should be 10+2 qualified through the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects.

A candidate who belongs to West Bengal should need to clear Joint Entrance Examination Test conducted by West Bengal Board.

Application form will be provided to that candidates who are have cleared thee JEE test and have selected in merit list.

Application form will be available in the Engineering and Technological College in West Bengal.

The central selection committee will receive the complete filled up forms.

Selected candidates will be called through the notification and have to in front of central selection committee on a specified date, time and venue.

The Regional Engineering College Government High School was established in the 1960. This college is approved by AICTE, UGC.

Admission:

The candidate who wants to take admission in the Regional Engineering College passes the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The application form for this admission to REC , Durgapur and other 16 RECs, located n different part of India, are distributed only among the candidates who are eligible according to the JEE exam merit list.
