Banaras Hindu University is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 20,000 students.

There will be no admissions in M.Phil - Musicology during the academic in the session 2015-16.
The RET EXAMINATION / INTEGRATED M.PHIL.-Ph.D. PROGRAMME EXAMINATION will now be held on 13th October 2015 instead of 11th October 2015.
