M.Tech (Remote Sensing and Graphical Information System) is one among the PG level courses offered at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). Admission process is made through GATE or institute conducted entrance test. Specialization areas in M.Tech (Remote Sensing and Graphical Information System) Forest Resources and Ecosystem Analysis Marine and Atmospheric Sciences Satellite Image Analysis and Photogrammetry Sustainable Agriculture Water Resources Geoinformatics Geosciences Human Settlement Analysis Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech (Remote Sensing and Graphical Information System) - M.Sc holders with a minimum of 55% marks can apply for admission. Qualification must be obtained in any of the following subjects. Geo Exploration Geo informatics Geography Geomatics Natural Sciences Physical Sciences Disaster Management Earth Sciences Environmental Sciences Engineering graduates in any of the following subjects are also eligible to apply. Agricultural Engineering Information Technology Mineral Processing Mining Engineering Petroleum Engineering Civil Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Sciences Electrical and Electronics Geo Engineering Geomatics Geosciences Apart from this B.Arch, B.Planning, and MCA graduates can apply. B.Sc (Forestry/Agriculture) holders can also apply. Admission Procedure for M.Tech (Remote Sensing and Graphical Information System) -Admission is made through national level entrance test like GATE. -Sponsored candidates from government organizations are eligible to apply. -Non GATE candidates should go for the entrance test conducted by IIRS to have admission. -There are four sections for this entrance test. -First three sections are common for all candidates and fourth section is based on the specific subject area of specialization. -Questions on basic sciences, basic mathematics, General Knowledge, aptitude test, and reasoning are asked for the first three sections. -In basic sciences section, questions on Physics and Chemistry are asked. -Basic mathematics covers questions from the following topics. Number Systems Algebra Trignometry Probability and Statistics -Subject related questions are mainly asked from the following topics.
